Undergrduate research in nantechnology

Degrees & Programs

There are several post-graduate programs to choose from in our department.

Consider the Master of Science (MSc) program if you want to specialize in an area within chemical, process control, or materials engineering. The MSc is a full-time, research-based program requiring the completion of a thesis. An MSc will help students concentrate on one area of study, which will benefit them as they enter or re-enter the industry with more advanced skills and knowledge.

The Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) program is a rigorous, research-oriented program requiring the completion of a thesis. Taking specialization to the next level, this program builds on students' analytical skills and leads to careers in academics or corporate research.

Already working in the field but want to learn more about a particular engineering research area? The MEng program is a course-based program designed for the working professional. Expand your expertise while continuing to work in the industry.

MEng requires 8 courses, a total of 24 units or more, plus project. The course requirement, which courses to take, varies from group to group. Students admitted to a MEng need to contact the department to establish which courses to take.

We also offer a joint MBA/MEng degree program with the School of Business.
